Lincoln Parish Fire District No. 1

Our Chief

Chief Dennis Ford

Dennis Ford was named Fire Chief for the Lincoln Parish Fire District #1 in October of 2003. Prior to accepting the chief's position, he served as training officer for the Ouachita Parish Fire Department where he attained 13 years of total service. Prior to OPFD, Chief Ford was a volunteer with the Rocky Branch Volunteer Fire Department.

Chief Ford is a fourth-generation firefighter. Dennis' father, Vernon Ford, his grandfather, James K. "Smokey" Clower, and his great-grandfather, Elbert Clower were all firefighters with the Monroe, Louisiana, Fire Department.

Chief Ford and his wife, Candy, have two children: Kennedy, age 5, and Eden, age 1.

In his spare time, Dennis likes to spend time with his family, hunt, and work with construction and remodeling projects. The Fords are members of Faith Christian Center in Ruston where Dennis plays the drums and works with the church children's ministry.
